Haze from the Dripping Springs Fire burning below the Mogollon Rim near Pine hangs over Camp Verde.
Smoke is still pouring south off the Rim from two fires burning there.
The Coconino Forest reports 90 percent containment on the Dripping Springs Fire burning below the Mogollon Rim near Pine.
The fire, believed to have been human caused, originated on Tonto Forest and threatened to burn us the escarpment onto the Coconino Forest.
The Forest Service continues to operate a couple helicopters, a dozer and two engines on the fire, which has burned since Monday and is believed to be human caused. The Incident Management Team, however is beginning to wind down the exercise.
The Bear Fire, north of Sedona in the Secret Mountain Wilderness, which topped out at 350 acres is also winding down, though remains only 60-percent contained. Most of the blaze is now above the Rim and is managed by the Peaks Ranger District.
There is not a line around the fire in the steep slopes below the rim. The fire continues to be monitored, though it is not very active.
